The carrier announced that the free, “fast and dependable” internet provision via the satellite provider is set to be accessible for travelers in economy, business, and premium cabins from soon.

The umbrella company of the airline, International Airlines Group, confirmed it had finalized an agreement with SpaceX for providing connectivity access on 500-plus jets operated by the group's operators, including Aer Lingus, Iberia, plus the low-cost airline.

The airline explained that this rollout of this technology was included in a seven billion pound “upgrade” program that will deliver smooth connectivity coverage to passengers starting at boarding through arrival, including when traveling above large bodies of water or remote regions.
