Two Men Charged for Inmate Homicide of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder after the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, 48 years old, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes among them the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were seized.
